Happy New Year’s Rockin’ Eve!
2009 has been a roller coaster for me, from the good life I used to have in high school to the scary fresh start I had in college. I have met the greatest people in my life in high school but college has opened more doors for me and I met new great people. This year was the borderline of my life, the line that draws the difference between my pure wild child days to my I-have-to-be mature days. I will never forget high school and sometimes, I do wish I’m still in high school.
To all the people I’ve met, thank you for being a great part of my 2009. To IE3, thanks for being a part of my 2009, you’ve made half of it awesome. To IV-1, I super miss you guys! And I will never, ever, ever forget each and every single one. You’ve made my life awesome. Thank you! To the all the debaters I have met, Theresian or not, thanks for all the lessons you’ve taught me indirectly and I am honored to be friends with you guys. To my UST loves, thank you for sticking out with me all the time even if we have misunderstandings, I’m glad to have spent half of my 2009 with you. This is the start of a great friendship. To my Bebes, I love you to death and this is just the beginning of the rest of our lives that we will share and spend with each other. And to PP, thanks for always inspiring me. I know I’m not supposed to remember anymore but you give sense to my life and make things possible and happy for me.
It’s a brand new year, time for a fresh new start. A new decade to live your life and follow your dreams, swim against the current and stand out. Do whatever you want and not think about the people, take a plunge out of something great and not mind the consequences. As much as this is the time for starting fresh and liberating yourself, this is also the perfect time to correct your mistakes, make wiser decisions and own up to our actions.
To the great year that was and to the even greater year that’s about to come, here’s to you.
